How to Draw a Georgia Map
Draw a georgia map in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top edge.
Step 1: The top edge
Start near the top left. Draw a straight line to the right. Stop just past the middle.
Tip Leave lots of room below this line for the rest of the map.
Step 2: The river edge
Carry on from there. Dip back a little, then draw a bumpy line slanting down to the right.
Tip A river makes this long slanting edge.
Step 3: Down to the sea
Carry on from there. Draw more bumpy line slanting down to the right. Stop at a point.
Step 4: The coast
Start at that point. Draw a short wavy coast down and a little left. Stop near the bottom.
Tip This is where Georgia meets the sea.
Step 5: The small dip
Carry on from there. Go left a little way, drop down into a small square dip and come back up.
Step 6: The bottom edge
Carry on from there. Draw a long straight line to the left. Stop under the start of your top line.
Step 7: The river side
Carry on from there. Draw a wiggly line up. Stop about halfway up the map.
Tip Another river makes this wiggly side.
Step 8: Close the map
Carry on from there. Draw a straight line up, leaning left. Stop where your first line began.
Step 9: Two mountains
Inside the map, just under the top edge, draw 2 triangle mountains side by side.
Tip On a map, little triangles show where the mountains are.
Step 10: The capital star
Below the left mountain, draw a star for the capital city, Atlanta.
Step 11: Green land
Go over your lines. Colour all the land green, around the mountains and the star.
Step 12: Brown and red
Colour the 2 mountains brown and the star red. Your map of Georgia is done!

Your finished drawing
