How to Draw Bangers and Mash
Draw bangers and mash in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
Below the middle draw a big oval plate, most of the page wide. Add a second oval inside.
Step 2: A mound of mash
Left of the middle of the plate, draw a wide hill of mashed potato with 5 soft lumpy bumps.
Tip Bangers are sausages, served with mashed potato and gravy.
Step 3: Gravy on top
Over the top of the mound draw a cap of gravy with a wobbly bottom edge and 2 fat drips.
Step 4: The front sausage
Draw a plump sausage on the plate, its left end leaning on the mash. Add 2 little marks on top.
Step 5: The second sausage
Draw a second sausage behind the first, leaning on the mash too. Add one little mark on top.
Step 6: A puddle of gravy
At the left foot of the mash draw a flat wobbly puddle of gravy on the plate.
Step 7: Peas
In front of the mash, inside the rim, draw 4 small round peas in a little heap.
Step 8: Steam
Above the mash draw 2 wiggly steam lines going up, not touching the food.
Step 9: The table
Draw a line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.
Step 10: Cream mash, sky plate
Go over your lines. Colour the mash cream, skipping the gravy, then the plate sky blue around the food.
Step 11: Green peas
Colour the 4 peas green.
Step 12: Brown gravy and sausages
Colour the gravy wood brown, then the sausages brown. Your bangers and mash are done!
