How to Draw a Ballot Box
Draw a ballot box in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.
Step 1: The box
Low on your paper draw a big wide box.
Tip Use a ruler if you like. Leave plenty of room above it.
Step 2: The lid
Along the top of the box draw a long flat bar, poking out a little at both ends.
Step 3: The top
Start at the bar's left end. Draw a slanted line up, a flat line across, and stop at the right end.
Tip The slanted sides lean in, so you can see the top of the box.
Step 4: The slot
In the middle of the top draw a long thin slot with round ends.
Tip The slot is where the votes drop in.
Step 5: The ballot paper
Start on the slot. Draw a tall paper going up, across and back down, and stop on the slot.
Tip A ballot is the paper you mark your vote on.
Step 6: A big tick
On the paper draw a big tick. Start with a short line down, then a long line up to the right.
Step 7: The label
In the middle of the box draw a wide label, like a smaller box inside.
Step 8: The word
Inside the label write VOTE in big capital letters.
Tip Keep all 4 letters the same height.
Step 9: Ground line
Draw a ground line under the box, from well left to well right.
Step 10: Light blue top
Go over your lines. Colour the top light blue, around the slot. Leave the paper and the label white.
Step 11: Blue box
Colour the front of the box blue, around the label.
Step 12: Dark lid and slot
Colour the lid bar dark blue and the slot dark grey. Your ballot box is ready for votes!

Your finished drawing
