How to Draw a Coffee Table
Draw a coffee table in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the low table top.
Step 1: The low table top
Across the middle draw a long flat box nearly as wide as the paper, a thumb tall, for the top.
Tip A coffee table is long and low: make it wider than anything else.
Step 2: Short legs
Under each end of the top draw a short fat leg going straight down.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle of the top draw 2 egg eyes, well away from the edges, each with a black dot.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile from eye to eye, and a little oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The low shelf
Low between the legs draw a thin shelf, starting at the left leg and stopping at the right leg.
Step 6: A mug
On the left of the top draw a mug: a short cup, a round handle on the right, and steam.
Step 7: Two books
On the right of the top draw a flat book lying down, and a smaller one on top of it.
Step 8: Shelf books
On the low shelf draw a flat box lying on the left end for a stack of magazines.
Step 9: Floor line
Draw a floor line under the legs, from near the left edge of the paper to near the right edge.
Step 10: Sparkles
Add 3 small four-point sparkles in the air above the table, not touching anything.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow, and leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red mug, blue books
Colour the mug and its handle red, and the books and the magazines blue.
Step 13: Wood table
Colour the top, the legs and the shelf wood brown, around the face, and your coffee table is ready!
