How to Draw a Balloon Dog
Draw a balloon dog in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the snout.
Step 1: The snout
Near the top left, draw one fat sausage lying on its side. The nose is at the left end.
Step 2: Two ears
From behind the back of the snout, draw 2 sausages standing up, one straight, one leaning back.
Tip Each new sausage tucks behind the ones already drawn.
Step 3: Knot, eye and smile
On the nose tip, draw a tiny round knot. Add a dot eye near the ears and a little smile.
Step 4: The neck
From behind the back of the snout, draw a short sausage going down, leaning a little right.
Step 5: The body
From behind the bottom of the neck, draw one long fat sausage lying on its side, reaching right.
Step 6: Front legs
From behind the front of the body, draw 2 sausages hanging down, feet a little apart.
Step 7: Back legs
From behind the back of the body, draw 2 more sausages hanging down, as long as the front legs.
Step 8: The tail
From behind the back end of the body, draw a short sausage pointing up and back. Add a tiny tip.
Step 9: Ground line
Draw a long straight ground line. Start left of the front feet and stop right of the back feet.
Step 10: Red head and neck
Go over your lines. Colour the snout, knot, ears and neck red. Leave a little white shine on each.
Step 11: Red body and legs
Colour the body, the 4 legs and the tail red. Leave a white shine on the body, legs and tail.
