How to Draw a Ballerina
Draw a ballerina in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.
Step 1: Egg head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the tutu and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 round eyes with black dots and a tiny lash each. Add a nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Hair and bun
Draw hair over the top of the head with a fringe curve across the forehead. Add a bun on top.
Step 4: Neck and leotard
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one, draw a leotard with short sleeves, ending at the right one.
Step 5: Tutu
From each side of the waist, draw a wide flat tutu out to the sides, with frilly bumps underneath.
Step 6: Arms held out
From each sleeve, draw 2 lines out to the side, sloping gently down and getting thinner, stopping at the wrist.
Step 7: Mitten hands
Start at each wrist. Draw a round mitten with a little thumb on top, ending back at the wrist.
Step 8: Legs
From under the frill, draw 2 lines for each leg down to a thin ankle, curving softly at the knee.
Step 9: Slippers and ground
Under each leg, draw a slipper pointing out, with a ribbon at the ankle. Add a ground line.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow hair
Colour the hair and bun yellow.
Step 12: Pink leotard and tutu
Colour the leotard, tutu and slippers pink. Go over your lines. Done!
