How to Draw a Badge
Draw a badge in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big star.
Step 1: The big star
Near the middle draw a big 5-point star, as big as your hand, zigging round from the top point.
Step 2: Balls on the points
On the tip of each of the 5 points draw a little round ball, like a bead on the end.
Tip The balls sit right on the points, like a real metal badge.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the star's middle draw 2 BIG eggy eyes, nearly filling it, with a black dot and shine in each.
Tip Just below the star's centre, with a small gap between the eyes.
Step 4: A big smile
Under the eyes draw a big wide U smile from eye to eye, ends turning up, above the bottom dip.
Step 5: Rosy cheeks
Beside each smile end draw a small sideways oval cheek, clear of the smile and the star's edge.
Step 6: Little stars
Draw 3 tiny stars in the corners, well away from the badge: top left, top right and bottom right.
Step 7: The round rim
Draw a big circle all the way round the star, so every ball just touches it from the inside.
Tip The balls kiss the ring; the star never crosses it.
Step 8: A thick ring
Draw a second circle a finger outside the first, making a thick ring round the whole badge.
Step 9: Pink cheeks, sand plate
Colour the cheeks pink, then colour inside the ring sand, going around the star and its balls.
Step 10: Yellow star, ginger rim
Colour the star, balls and little stars yellow around the cheeks, and the ring ginger. Leave the eyes white.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a badge, drawn by you.
