How to Draw a Throne

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a throne in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tall back.

Print

  1. Step 1: Tall back

Above the middle draw a tall box. Make its top a crown: 2 corner points and a taller middle point.

  2. Step 2: Two arms

Start on the side of the back. Draw a round hump out, down past the back, and back in.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

On the back, above its middle, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek below each eye.

  5. Step 5: The cushion

Between the arms draw a soft rectangle cushion, from the bottom of the back down to the arms' ends.

  6. Step 6: The base

Under the cushion draw a flat band from the bottom of the left arm to the right arm.

  7. Step 7: Balls and gem

Draw a small ball on each corner point of the crown. Under the middle point draw a diamond gem.

  8. Step 8: Arm gems

On the front of each arm draw a small diamond gem, like the one on the back.

  9. Step 9: Feet and floor

Under the base draw 2 short square feet, one near each end. Draw a floor line under them.

  10. Step 10: Gold arms and base

Colour the arms, base, feet and 2 balls golden yellow, around the arm gems.

  11. Step 11: Purple gems, pink cheeks

Colour the 3 gems purple and the 2 cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.

  12. Step 12: Red back, purple cushion

Colour the back red around the face and gem, and the cushion purple. Fit for a king or queen!
