How to Draw Mardi Gras Beads
Draw Mardi Gras beads in 12 steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the medallion.
Step 1: The medallion
Below the middle of your paper draw a big round medallion, like a coin, with a small ring on top.
Step 2: Three strands
Above the medallion draw a big hanging loop that dips down through the ring. Draw 2 smaller loops inside it.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the medallion draw 2 big egg eyes with a gap between them. Add a black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek on each side.
Step 5: Outer beads
Along the biggest loop draw big round beads sitting on the line, evenly spaced. Leave the ring clear.
Step 6: Middle beads
Do the same along the middle loop: round beads evenly spaced all the way round.
Step 7: Inner beads
And the same along the smallest loop: round beads evenly spaced all the way round.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw a sparkle star out on each side of the beads.
Step 9: Yellow gold
Go over your lines. Colour the medallion and the beads on the smallest loop yellow. Leave eyes and cheeks white.
Step 10: Cheeks and sparkles
Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Green beads
Colour the beads on the middle loop green.
Step 12: Purple beads
Colour the beads on the biggest loop purple. Happy Mardi Gras!
