How to Draw a Baby Seagull
Draw a baby seagull in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
Near the top of the page draw a round head, a little wider than it is tall.
Tip Leave lots of room underneath for the body.
Step 2: Two dark eyes
Draw 2 round eyes side by side. Inside each, colour a black dot, leaving a white shine.
Tip Keep the eyes level and wide apart.
Step 3: Short bill
Between the eyes and a little lower, draw a short wide bill with a curved line across it.
Tip A baby gull has a short bill.
Step 4: Fluffy body
Under the head draw a big round body with soft bumps all round, like a ball of fluff.
Tip The body is bigger than the head.
Step 5: Stubby wings
On each side of the body draw a short leaf-shaped wing pointing out and down.
Tip Start and finish each wing on the body.
Step 6: Webbed feet
Under the body draw 2 webbed feet with short legs and 3 toes each. Add 2 lines on each.
Tip The toes are joined, like a duck's foot.
Step 7: Dark speckles
Draw 3 small oval speckles on top of the head and 5 on the body.
Tip Spread them out so none of them touch.
Step 8: Sandy rock
Under the feet draw a low wide rock with a flat base. Draw a ground line under it.
Tip The feet stand on top of the rock.
Step 9: Pink and sand
Colour the 2 feet pink. Colour the rock sandy yellow.
Step 10: Grey down
Colour the head, body and wings pale grey, around the speckles. Leave the eyes and bill white.
Step 11: Speckles and bill
Colour the 8 speckles brown. Colour the bill dark grey.
