How to Draw a Baby Robin
Draw a baby robin in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big egg head.
Step 1: Big egg head
Above the middle of your paper, draw a big egg head, fat side down. Leave room below for the nest.
Step 2: Three fluffy tufts
On top of the head, draw 3 soft tufts: a tall one in the middle, a shorter one each side.
Step 3: Two big shiny eyes
Below the middle of the head, draw 2 big egg eyes one eye apart. Add a black dot and shine.
Step 4: Diamond beak
Under the eyes, draw a wide diamond beak, pointed top and bottom, with a straight line across its middle.
Step 5: Speckled breast
Start at the left cheek. Draw a U breast under the chin, up to the right cheek. Dot 4 speckles.
Step 6: Nest bowl
Start on the left, level with the beak's bottom. Draw a big wide U, back up to the right.
Step 7: The rim
Across the U's top, draw a long flat oval rim behind the chick. Rub out the rim inside the chick.
Step 8: Twigs
Inside the bowl, draw 3 curved twig lines like smiles, one under the other.
Step 9: The branch
Across the nest's bottom, draw a thick branch: 2 wavy lines with round ends. Rub out the nest between them.
Step 10: Leaves
Grow 4 leaves off the branch: 3 pointing up and 1 hanging down, each starting on the branch.
Step 11: Yellow beak, orange breast
Colour the beak yellow. Colour the breast orange, leaving the speckles dark.
Step 12: Wood nest, green leaves
Colour the nest and branch wood brown around the chick, and the leaves green.
Step 13: Brown head and tufts
Colour the head and tufts brown around the beak. Leave the eyes white. Your baby robin is done!
