How to Draw an Astronaut Cat
Draw an astronaut cat in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: cat head.
Step 1: Cat head
In the top half, in the middle, draw a wide round cat head with soft cheeks.
Tip Leave room around the head for a big round helmet.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 big oval eyes with dots and shines. Add a small triangle nose and a w mouth under them.
Step 3: Pointy ears
On each top corner of the head draw a pointy ear. Add a small triangle inside each one.
Step 4: Whiskers
Start on each cheek and draw 2 short whiskers out to the side.
Step 5: Space helmet
Around the whole head, ears and whiskers, draw a big circle for the helmet, with a gap all round.
Step 6: Collar and suit
Start on the chin. Draw 2 neck lines and stop at a flat oval collar. Add a wide round suit.
Step 7: Sleeves
From each shoulder, draw a sleeve that bends out at the elbow and narrows down to the wrist.
Step 8: Gloves
At the end of each sleeve, draw a round mitten glove with a little thumb pointing in.
Step 9: Badge and control box
Draw a small badge on the left of the chest. Add a control box with 2 lines in the middle.
Step 10: Trouser legs
Start at the suit's bottom left. Draw 2 legs with a point between. Stop at the bottom right.
Step 11: Boots and ground
Under each leg, draw a boot with a round toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under them.
Step 12: Ginger fur, pink ears
Colour the head, ears and neck ginger, and the nose and inner ears pink. Leave the eyes and suit white.
Step 13: Grey and blue
Colour the boots, gloves and collar ring grey. Colour the control box blue.
Step 14: Red badge
Colour the badge red. Go over your lines and your astronaut cat is done!
