How to Draw an Archaeologist
Draw an archaeologist in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.
Step 1: Egg head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
On the head draw 2 eyes, a nose, a smile. Start a C ear each side, stop on the head.
Step 3: Safari hat
Above the eyebrows draw a long oval brim. Start on the brim, draw a crown over, down to the brim.
Step 4: Shirt and pocket
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a shirt, back to the neck. Add a pocket.
Step 5: Arms
Start at each sleeve. Draw the right arm straight down, the left arm bent out sideways. Stop at the wrists.
Tip Each arm is 2 lines that get a little closer at the wrist.
Step 6: Hands
Draw a round fist on the left wrist. Start a mitten at one right wrist line, stop at the other.
Step 7: Big dinosaur bone
Through the fist draw a big bone standing up: a thick stick with 2 round knobs at each end.
Step 8: Shorts
Start at the bottom left of the shirt. Draw the shorts down, across, up to a point, down and back.
Step 9: Legs
Start on each shorts leg. Draw 2 lines down, closer at the ankle, and stop where the boots begin.
Step 10: Boots and ground
Under each leg draw a tall boot with a heel and a round toe pointing out. Add a ground line.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour pink cheeks, then the face, ears, neck, arms, hands and legs peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Tan hat and shorts
Colour the hat tan. Colour the shorts tan too.
Step 13: Green shirt, brown boots
Colour the shirt green and the boots brown. Leave the big bone white.
