How to Draw an Anime Face
Draw an anime face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Draw a big egg for the head in the upper middle of your paper, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room above for the tall spiky hair.
Step 2: Big tall eyes
Draw 2 big tall oval eyes below the middle of the head. Go over each top line thick and dark.
Step 3: Irises and shines
Draw a big tall egg in each eye, then a thin black egg inside it. Leave one big white shine.
Step 4: Tiny nose and smile
Under the eyes draw a tiny slanting tick for the nose. Under that draw a small smile.
Step 5: Thin eyebrows
Above each eye draw a thin eyebrow like a long leaf, sweeping in toward the middle.
Step 6: Spiky hair
Start on the left side of the head. Draw tall spikes over the top, down to the right side.
Step 7: Neck and shirt
Start under the chin and draw 2 neck lines down to a U collar. Slope the shoulders out wide.
Step 8: Peach skin
Colour the face and neck peach around the eyes and eyebrows, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 9: Teal shirt
Colour the shirt teal and the eyebrows brown.
Step 10: Purple eyes, black hair
Colour the irises purple, leaving the shines white. Colour the spiky hair black. Go over your lines to finish.
