How to Draw an Almond
Draw an almond in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the nut.
Step 1: The nut
In the middle draw a big almond shape, a tall oval with a pointed top and a round bottom.
Step 2: 2 big eyes
Below the middle draw 2 big eggy eyes, one eye apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 3: Big smile
Leave a gap under the eyes, then draw a wide U smile from under one eye across to the other.
Step 4: Rosy cheeks
Beside each end of the smile, leaving a small gap, draw a small flat oval cheek.
Step 5: Dimples
A little in from each side, draw 2 short slanted dashes, one above the eyes and one below the cheek.
Step 6: Little almond
On the right draw a small teardrop lying down beside the big nut, its point out to the right.
Step 7: A leaf
On the left draw a long thin leaf leaning up from the ground. Add 1 vein up its middle.
Step 8: Ground and grass
Draw a ground line under the nut, nearly edge to edge. Add 2 grass blades at each end.
Step 9: Tan almonds
Colour both almonds tan, going around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Green leaf, pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheeks pink and the leaf green. Go over your lines. Your almond is done!
