How to Draw an Alaska Flag
Draw an alaska flag in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the flag pole.
Step 1: The flag pole
On the left draw a tall thin pole from near the bottom to near the top. Add a ball.
Step 2: The waving flag
Start on the pole below the ball. Wave the top edge out to the right, come down, and wave back.
Tip Make the flag big: it needs room for 8 stars.
Step 3: The North Star
In the top right corner of the flag draw 1 big star with 5 points.
Tip Start with the top point, then make all 5 points the same size.
Step 4: Three handle stars
Start near the pole, halfway down. Draw 3 smaller stars in a row sloping down to the right.
Tip Leave a little gap between the stars.
Step 5: Top of the bowl
Just below the last star draw 1 more. Draw another far to its right, a little lower.
Step 6: Bottom of the bowl
Under each of those 2 stars draw 1 more small star to finish the bowl.
Tip The 7 small stars make the Big Dipper, shaped like a pan with a handle.
Step 7: Ground line
Draw a long flat ground line under the pole, from the left side to the right side.
Step 8: Yellow ball, grey pole
Colour the ball on top of the pole yellow and the pole grey.
Step 9: Gold stars
Colour all 8 stars golden yellow, right into every point.
Step 10: Dark blue flag
Colour the flag dark blue around the stars. Go over your lines. Your Alaska flag is waving!
