How to Draw an Air Horn
Draw an air horn in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the can.
Step 1: The can
In the lower half of your paper draw a tall box for the can, with soft corners.
Step 2: The round top
Start on top of the can near the left, draw a low round hill, and stop near the right.
Step 3: The neck
Start on the round top. Draw 2 short lines straight up and stop, the right one a little shorter.
Step 4: The horn
Start at the top right. Draw a wide cone on its side, on the neck. Stop at the bottom right.
Tip A horn gets wider toward the front.
Step 5: The big end
At the big right end draw a tall oval from the top corner to the bottom corner, for the opening.
Step 6: The back end
Start at the top of the small end. Draw a little cap bulging out left; stop at its bottom.
Step 7: The label
Draw 2 straight lines across the can, from side to side, for a label.
Step 8: Sound lines
In front of the big end draw 3 short lines fanning out, for the loud honk.
Step 9: The floor
Draw a straight floor line under the can, from left to right.
Step 10: Yellow label
Go over your lines, then colour the label yellow.
Step 11: Grey top
Colour the round top and the neck grey.
Step 12: Red horn
Colour the horn and its back end red. Leave the opening white for now.
Step 13: Blue can
Colour the can blue above and below the label. Colour the opening dark grey. Honk!
