How to Draw a Trident
Draw a trident in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the long pole.
Step 1: The long pole
Down the middle of your paper draw a tall thin pole: 2 long lines joined at the top and bottom.
Tip Leave room above the pole for the points.
Step 2: The hub
A third of the way down the pole draw a small rounded block, a little wider than the pole.
Step 3: Curved arms
Start on each side of the block. Draw a thick arm that curves out and then straight up.
Tip Together the 2 arms make a big U. Stop both lower than the top of the pole.
Step 4: Middle point
On top of the pole draw an arrowhead: a sharp tip with a barb hooking back on each side.
Step 5: Side points
On top of each arm draw an arrowhead just like the middle one.
Step 6: Grip bands
Below the block draw 2 thin bands across the pole, a little wider than it.
Step 7: Cap and ground
At the bottom of the pole draw a small oval cap. Draw a straight ground line under it.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 4 small sparkle stars around the trident, not touching it.
Step 9: Gold prongs
Colour the 3 points, the curved arms and the top of the pole gold yellow.
Step 10: Orange and blue
Colour the block, the 2 bands and the end cap orange. Colour the sparkles light blue.
Step 11: Brown pole
Colour the rest of the pole brown. Go over your lines and your trident is done!
