How to Draw an Adventurer
Draw an adventurer in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 oval eyes, a nose and a smile. Draw a C ear from each side, back to the head.
Step 3: Explorer hat
Draw a long oval brim. From the brim, draw a tall dipped crown back to the brim. Add a band.
Step 4: Neck and shirt
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one, draw a shirt with short sleeves, ending at the right one.
Step 5: Satchel strap and bag
Draw a 2-line strap from the right shoulder to the left hip. Add a rounded bag with a flap.
Step 6: Arms
From each sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending out at the elbow and getting thinner.
Step 7: Mitten hands
Start at each wrist, draw a mitten with a little thumb pointing in, and stop at the other side.
Step 8: Shorts
Start at the shirt's bottom left corner. Draw 2 short trouser legs down, and stop at the right corner.
Step 9: Legs
From each leg of the shorts, draw 2 lines down, out at the calf, and stop where the boots begin.
Step 10: Boots and ground
Under each leg, draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the boots.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, ears, neck, arms, hands and legs peach, with pink cheeks. Keep the eyes white.
Step 12: Tan shorts, green shirt
Colour the shorts tan and the shirt green. Leave the strap and the bag white for now.
Step 13: Brown hat, bag, boots
Colour the hat, the strap, the bag and the boots brown. Go over your lines. Done!
