How to Draw a Wolf Skull
Draw a wolf skull in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: long skull.
Step 1: Long skull
Draw a long skull: a low snout on the left rising to a big round dome on the right.
Tip The snout is about half of the whole skull.
Step 2: Eye hole
Where the snout meets the dome, draw one big egg-shaped eye hole.
Tip Keep bone all round it.
Step 3: Nose hole
At the tip of the snout, draw a small oval nose hole.
Step 4: Big fang
Under the snout, near the front, draw one long curved fang hanging down with a round tip.
Tip Wolves have 4 big fangs. You can see 2 from the side.
Step 5: Top teeth
Draw 2 tiny teeth in front of the fang and 4 pointed teeth behind it, all hanging down.
Step 6: Bottom jaw
Start behind the dome. Draw a long jaw sloping down to the front, flat underneath, and back up.
Tip Leave a gap so the mouth is open.
Step 7: Bottom teeth
On the jaw draw a fang at the front and 4 pointed teeth behind it, all pointing up.
Step 8: Cheekbone
Start under the eye hole. Draw a soft curve to the right. Stop near the back of the dome.
Step 9: A crack
Start on the top edge above the snout. Zigzag a small crack down. Stop before the eye hole.
Tip Old bones get little cracks.
Step 10: Ground line
Under the jaw, draw a straight ground line that sticks out past the skull on both sides.
Step 11: Sand bone
Go over your lines. Colour the skull and the jaw sand, around the holes. Leave the teeth white.
Step 12: Black holes
Colour the eye hole and the nose hole black. Your wolf skull is done!
