How to Draw a Winter Tree
Draw a winter tree in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top tier.
Step 1: Top tier
Near the top start at a point. Slant down left, draw 4 bumps across, and slant back to the point.
Step 2: Middle tier
Start under the top tier near its left. Slant down and out, 5 bumps across, and slant back to it.
Step 3: Bottom tier
Start under the middle tier near its left. Slant down and out, 6 bumps across, and slant back to it.
Step 4: The trunk
Under the tree draw a short trunk, a little wider at the bottom. Start and stop on the bumpy line.
Step 5: Snowy cap
Just under the point, draw 2 bumps hanging down from one slant line to the other, for a snowy cap.
Step 6: Snow on the tiers
Above each bumpy edge draw a second row of bumps from slant to slant, for a thick edge of snow.
Step 7: Snowy ground
Under the trunk draw a long soft wavy line from edge to edge, so the trunk stands in the snow.
Step 8: Snowflakes
Around the tree draw 4 snowflakes, each 3 short lines crossing like a star. Keep them off the tree.
Step 9: Wood trunk
Colour the trunk wood brown.
Step 10: Green tree
Colour all 3 tiers green, leaving the snow white. Go over your lines and your winter tree is done!
