How to Draw a Wheelbarrow
Draw a wheelbarrow in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tray.
Step 1: The tray
A little above the middle draw a wide box, wider at the top than the bottom, like a bucket.
Tip Leave room on the right for the wheel and on the left for the handle.
Step 2: 2 big eyes
On the tray draw 2 big egg eyes one eye apart. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek at each end.
Step 4: The wheel
Under the right end of the tray draw a big wheel circle touching the tray. Add a small hub circle.
Step 5: The handle
Start on the tray's lower left side. Draw 2 close lines back and up, joined with a round end.
Step 6: Leg and ground
From the tray's left end draw a leg down, across and back up. Add a long ground line under it.
Step 7: The frame bar
Start at the bottom of the leg. Draw a bar of 2 lines across to the middle of the wheel.
Step 8: A heap of soil
Start on the left of the tray's top. Draw a soft hill of soil and stop on the right.
Step 9: A little plant
Start on top of the heap. Draw a short stem up to 2 little leaves.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, green leaves
Colour the cheeks pink and the 2 little leaves green.
Step 11: Wood handle and leg
Colour the handle, leg and frame bar wood brown, and the soil heap brown.
Step 12: Green tray, black wheel
Leave the eyes white. Colour the tray green around eyes and cheeks, hub grey, wheel black. Ready to roll!
