How to Draw a Wheelchair Sign
Draw a wheelchair sign in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the square sign.
Step 1: The square sign
In the top half of your paper draw a big square with soft round corners.
Tip Make all 4 sides the same length.
Step 2: The white border
Just inside, draw the same square again, close to the edge all the way round.
Tip Keep the gap between the 2 squares the same on every side.
Step 3: The head
Near the top of the sign, a little left of the middle, draw a small round head.
Step 4: Back and arm
Start under the head. Draw a fat leaning back with a fat arm pointing right. Leave the bottom open.
Tip Fat shapes are drawn as outlines, so you can leave them white.
Step 5: Seat and leg
Start at the open bottom. Draw a fat seat going right, a leg slanting down, a foot, then back.
Step 6: The big wheel
Start behind the back. Draw a fat C curling round under the seat. Stop below the leg.
Tip The wheel is open at the top right, where the legs are.
Step 7: The pole
From the middle of the sign's bottom edge draw 2 close lines straight down, stopping low on the page.
Step 8: The base
Start low left of the pole. Draw a small flat box up, across and down, stopping level with the start.
Step 9: Ground and grass
Draw a ground line from edge to edge under the base. Add a grass tuft of 3 blades each side.
Step 10: Blue sign
Go over your lines. Colour the sign blue around the person and the wheel. Leave them and the border white.
Tip Colour slowly next to the white shapes so the blue stays outside them.
Step 11: Slate pole
Colour the pole and its base slate grey. Your wheelchair sign is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a wheelchair sign, drawn by you.
