How to Draw Watering Plants
Draw watering plants in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tipped rim.
Step 1: The tipped rim
In the top left draw a flat oval tipped down to the right. Add a smaller oval inside.
Tip The can is tipped to pour, so everything leans down to the right.
Step 2: The can
From each end of the oval draw a long line down, leaning the same way. Join them with a smile.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
On the front of the can draw 2 big round eyes, tipped like the can. Add black dots.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye. Add a small cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The spout
Start on the lower side of the can, above the middle. Draw a long straight tube out to the right.
Step 6: The sprinkler
On the end of the spout draw a tilted oval, wider than the tube. Put 5 little dots on it.
Step 7: The handle
On the rim, a thumb in from each end, draw a thick rainbow up and over for the handle.
Step 8: Pot and ground
Under the sprinkler draw a pot rim. From its ends draw a tub down to a long ground line.
Step 9: The flower
From the pot rim draw a long stem up to a round flower with 5 petals. Add a leaf.
Step 10: Falling water
Under the sprinkler draw 3 little teardrops falling onto the flower, points up.
Step 11: Pink flower and cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the petals and cheeks pink and the middle yellow. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Blue drops, ginger pot
Colour the water drops sky blue and the pot ginger.
Step 13: Green can, grey metal
Colour the can, spout and leaf green around the eyes and cheeks, and the handle, rim and sprinkler grey.
