How to Draw a Weasel

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a weasel in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: wedge head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Wedge head

Near the top of your paper, draw a head: round on top, narrowing down to a short pointed snout.

Tip Keep it small: a long body goes under it.

  2. Step 2: Small round ears

On each top corner of the head, draw a small round ear. Stop where it meets the head.

  3. Step 3: Big eyes

Draw 2 big eyes in the middle of the head, with black dots and little white shines.

  4. Step 4: Snout patch

Start on the left side of the head under the eye. Draw a gentle rainbow across to the right side.

  5. Step 5: Nose and smile

Near the snout tip, draw a triangle nose. From its tip, draw a short line down to a w smile.

  6. Step 6: Short whiskers

Beside the nose, draw 2 short whiskers on each side. Keep them inside the snout patch.

  7. Step 7: Long slim body

Under the left cheek, draw a long thin body down and round, back up to the right cheek.

Tip Make it about twice as tall as the head.

  8. Step 8: Bib

From the chin, draw a long U for the bib down the chest and tummy and back up.

  9. Step 9: Short front legs

From each side of the chest, draw a short leg bending in to a small round paw on the bib.

Tip Fat at the shoulder, thin at the wrist.

  10. Step 10: Feet and ground

Draw a ground line under the body. At each bottom corner, draw a bun foot with 2 toe lines.

  11. Step 11: Tail with a tip

From the right hip, draw a thin tail along the ground. Draw a short line across it near the tip.

Tip Fat at the body, thin at the tip.

  12. Step 12: Cream bib and snout

Colour the bib and the snout patch cream. Colour the nose pink.

  13. Step 13: Brown weasel

Colour the weasel brown around the cream and the nose, up to the tail line. Leave the eyes white.

  14. Step 14: Black tail tip

Colour the end of the tail black, past the short line.
