How to Draw a TV
Draw a TV in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tv box.
Step 1: The TV box
In the middle draw a big box with soft corners, a bit wider than tall and wider at the bottom.
Step 2: Screen and shine
Inside the box draw a smaller screen box, near the top and left, with a wide strip on the right.
Tip Add 2 short slanted shine lines in the screen's top left corner.
Step 3: Two big egg eyes
On the screen draw 2 big egg eyes, half an eye apart, with a tiny shine circle in each.
Step 4: Black pupils
In each eye colour a big black pupil round the shine, filling most of the eye. Leave the shine white.
Step 5: Round smile and tongue
Under the eyes draw a big round U smile, dipping near the screen's bottom. Hang a small tongue from it.
Tip The tongue is a smaller U starting and stopping on the smile line.
Step 6: Dome and antennas
Draw a low dome on the box top. From high on each side, draw an antenna out to a ball.
Tip The dome is as wide as both eyes; the antennas make a wide V.
Step 7: Channel and volume dials
Right of the screen draw a round dial with a smaller one under it. Add a short pointer on each.
Step 8: Speaker lines
Under the small dial, leaving a gap, draw 3 short flat lines one under the other, for the speaker.
Step 9: Chunky feet
Under the box, in from each corner, draw a chunky bucket foot, narrow on top, wide at the sole.
Tip A fifth as tall as the box; both feet lean out the same.
Step 10: Ground line
Draw a long straight ground line touching the bottom of both soles.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, blue screen
Add pink cheeks and a pink tongue. Colour the screen sky blue around them, leaving the eyes white.
Step 12: Wood box, slate dome
Colour the TV box wood brown around the screen. Colour the dome, antenna balls and feet slate grey.
