12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.

Print

  1. Step 1: The box

In the middle of your paper draw a tall box with soft corners, a little taller than wide.

Tip Like a fridge but not as tall.

  2. Step 2: The porthole

In the lower half of the box draw a big circle door, with a second circle inside for the glass.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

In the glass draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.

  5. Step 5: The panel

Near the top draw a line across from side to side. Add 2 round knobs and a long button.

  6. Step 6: Water line

Inside the glass, under the smile, draw a gentle wave from one side of the glass to the other.

  7. Step 7: Bubbles

In the water draw 2 little bubbles, a big one and a small one beside it.

  8. Step 8: Two feet

Under the box draw 2 small square feet, one near each corner.

  9. Step 9: The ground

Draw a ground line under the feet from left to right.

  10. Step 10: Pink cheeks, sky ring

Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink and the door ring sky blue. Leave the eyes white.

  11. Step 11: Blue water

Colour the bubbles sky blue, then the water blue around them. Leave the machine and the glass white.

  12. Step 12: Slate knobs and feet

Colour the knobs, button and feet slate grey. Your washing machine is spinning!
