How to Draw a Vuvuzela
Draw a vuvuzela in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the horn.
Step 1: The horn
Draw a long horn lying down, thin on the left and flaring out wide on the right.
Tip A vuvuzela is a long plastic horn that fans blow at soccer matches.
Step 2: 2 eyes
On the wide part of the horn draw 2 small round eyes. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a tiny U smile. Add a tiny oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Bell and mouthpiece
On the wide end draw a tall oval with a thin oval inside. Put a cap on the thin end.
Step 5: A stripe
Near the thin end draw 2 lines across the horn, close together, for a stripe.
Step 6: Sound lines
Beside the bell draw 3 curved sound lines, one outside the other, bursting out to the right.
Step 7: Soccer ball
On the left, beside the thin end of the horn, draw a round soccer ball.
Step 8: Ball patches
On the ball draw a 5-sided patch in the middle and 3 smaller ones round it near the edge.
Step 9: Flag
On the far left draw a straight pole from the bottom up, with a little pointed flag at the top.
Step 10: Ground
Draw a long ground line under the pole, the ball and the horn, from left to right.
Step 11: Yellow horn
Go over your lines, then colour the horn yellow, going round the face and the stripe, and the cheeks pink.
Tip Keep the eyes white.
Step 12: Red stripe and flag
Colour the stripe and flag red, inside the bell dark grey and the ball patches black. Toot!
