How to Draw a Hacksaw
Draw a hacksaw in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the handle.
Step 1: The handle
On the left draw a fat rounded handle, taller than it is wide, with a straight right side.
Tip Leave lots of room on the right for the long frame.
Step 2: The frame
From high on the handle draw a long thin bar right, then an arm down. Stop near the handle's bottom.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the top half of the handle draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, with shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye, with a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The blade
Start low on the handle. Draw a thin blade, 2 close lines, across to the bottom of the arm.
Step 6: The teeth
Along the bottom of the blade draw zigzag teeth, from the handle across to the arm.
Step 7: A wing nut
On the outside of the arm draw a small circle, with a round wing above it and below it.
Tip This wing nut keeps the blade tight.
Step 8: Plank and ground
Under the saw draw a long flat plank, touching the teeth and the handle. Add a ground line below.
Step 9: Pink cheeks, tan plank
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink and the plank tan.
Step 10: Orange handle
Colour the handle orange, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Blue frame, grey blade
Colour the frame blue, and the blade, teeth and wing nut grey. Your hacksaw is ready to cut!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a hacksaw, drawn by you.
