How to Draw a Vietnam Flag
Draw a vietnam flag in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the flag pole.
Step 1: The flag pole
On the left draw a tall thin pole from near the bottom to near the top.
Step 2: Ball on top
Put a small round ball on the very top of the pole.
Step 3: Top and side
Start on the pole below the ball. Draw a wavy line right, then straight down. Stop just past halfway down.
Tip Make the flag wide: it is one and a half times as long as it is tall.
Step 4: Bottom edge
Start at the bottom of the straight side. Draw a wavy line back to the pole.
Tip The bottom edge copies the waves of the top edge.
Step 5: A light circle
Lightly draw a big circle in the very middle of the flag.
Tip Press softly. The circle only helps you place the star, and you will rub it out.
Step 6: Top point
Start inside the circle on the left. Draw an upside-down V touching the circle's top. Stop inside on the right.
Step 7: Two side points
From each end of the V draw a point out sideways to touch the circle, then back in.
Step 8: Two bottom points
Start at the left loose end. Draw a big W to the right one. Its 2 points touch the circle.
Step 9: Ground line
Rub out the circle. Draw a long flat ground line under the pole, from left to right.
Step 10: Yellow ball
Colour the ball on top of the pole yellow.
Step 11: Yellow star
Colour the big star yellow, right into all 5 points.
Step 12: Grey pole
Colour the pole grey.
Step 13: Red flag
Colour the flag red, going around the star. Go over your lines. Your Vietnam flag is waving!
Tip Go slowly round the star so it stays yellow.
