How to Draw a Secret Message
Draw a secret message in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tall bottle.
Step 1: Tall bottle
Near the top of your paper draw a tall bottle: a short neck, round shoulders, straight sides, flat bottom.
Step 2: Rolled note
In the bottle draw a rolled note: an oval with a curl inside, and a long U from its ends.
Tip Leave glass showing on both sides of the note.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the note draw 2 big egg eyes close together. Add a black dot and white shine in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Cork
On top of the neck draw a cork, like a short box wider than the neck. Add 2 lines.
Step 6: Ribbon
Across the middle of the note draw 2 curved lines close together, from one side to the other.
Step 7: Shine line
Just inside the left side of the bottle, draw one short shine line down from the shoulder.
Step 8: Sand and starfish
Draw a sand line under the bottle from left to right. Add a starfish with 5 round arms beside it.
Step 9: Cream note, brown cork
Colour the note cream around the ribbon and cheeks, leaving the eyes white. Colour the cork brown.
Step 10: Sky glass
Go over your lines, then colour the bottle sky blue around the note.
Step 11: Red ribbon, pink cheeks
Colour the ribbon red and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Orange starfish
Colour the starfish orange. Who will find your secret message?
