How to Draw a Video Camera
Draw a video camera in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
In the middle of your paper draw a box with rounded corners, a little wider than tall.
Step 2: Lens hood
On the right side draw a short tube, wider at the end. Close the end with a tall oval.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the body draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Add a little oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Flip screen
On the left side draw a flat box swung open like a door. Draw a smaller box inside it.
Step 6: Carry handle
On top of the body draw a handle like an upside-down U. Draw a thinner upside-down U inside it.
Step 7: Buttons
On the top left draw a tiny circle for the record light. Add a small button on the top right.
Step 8: Lens glass
Inside the tall oval draw a smaller oval for the glass. Add a curved ring line across the tube.
Step 9: Sparkles and table
Draw a table line under the camera, from the left to the right. Add 3 sparkles in the air.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, red light
Colour the 2 cheeks pink and the round record light red.
Step 11: Blue glass
Colour the lens glass and the screen light blue.
Step 12: Slate body
Colour the rest of the camera dark slate, around the glass, cheeks and light. Leave the eyes white.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a video camera, drawn by you.
