How to Draw a Shield
Draw a shield in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the shield.
Step 1: The shield
In the middle, draw a big shield: a flat top, 2 straight sides, then curve in to a point.
Step 2: The rim
Inside the shield, draw the same shape again, a finger in from the edge. That band is the rim.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the top half, draw 2 big egg eyes, half an eye apart, each with a black dot and shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a small U smile. Draw a small oval cheek on each side of it.
Step 5: A star
Below the smile, draw a 5-pointed star outline in the middle of the shield.
Step 6: Rivets
Along the top band of the rim, dot 5 small circles in a row, evenly spaced.
Step 7: Shine
High on the left, just inside the rim, draw one short straight line down for the shine.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 4 sparkle stars round the shield, 2 on each side.
Step 9: Yellow rim, star, sparkles
Colour the rim band, the star and the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 11: Red shield
Colour the inside red, around the eyes, cheeks and star. Leave the eyes white. Go over your lines.
