How to Draw a Valentine Puppy
Draw a Valentine puppy in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: wide round head.
Step 1: Wide round head
Near the top of your paper, draw a wide egg on its side for the head.
Tip Leave room below for the heart.
Step 2: Floppy ears
From each top corner of the head, draw a long floppy ear hanging down past the cheek.
Tip Each ear is like a sock with a round toe.
Step 3: Big eyes
In the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes. Add black dots and white shines.
Step 4: Snout and nose
Under the eyes draw a wide oval snout. At its top draw a rounded triangle nose and colour it black.
Tip Keep the snout clear of the eyes.
Step 5: Happy smile
From the nose draw a short line down, then a little curve out to each side, like a W.
Step 6: Big heart
Under the chin draw a big heart: 2 round bumps on top and a point at the bottom.
Tip Make the heart almost as wide as the head.
Step 7: Two arms
On each side, start under the ear and under the cheek. Draw 2 arm lines down. Stop at the heart.
Tip The arms go behind the heart.
Step 8: Holding paws
At the end of each arm draw a round paw over the edge of the heart. Add 2 toe lines.
Tip Rub out the heart line inside each paw.
Step 9: Body and ground
Rule a ground line. From under each ear draw a long curve down to the ground, outside the arm.
Tip Leave a gap between the arm and the body line.
Step 10: Back paws
At each bottom corner of the body draw a hill paw on the ground. Add 2 toe lines.
Step 11: Wagging tail
Start low on the right side of the body. Draw a short thick tail curving up to a round tip.
Step 12: Red heart
Colour the heart red, around the 2 paws.
Step 13: Tan fur
Colour the head, arms, body, paws and tail tan. Leave the snout and the eyes white.
Step 14: Brown ears
Go over your lines. Colour the 2 floppy ears brown.
