How to Draw a Boar
Draw a boar in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top left draw a big round head, a little wider than tall. Leave room for the body.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Draw 2 big eyes just above the middle. Under them draw an oval snout with 2 nostrils and a smile.
Step 3: Ears and tusks
On each top corner draw a triangle ear. Curl a fat banana tusk up from each side of the snout.
Tip Each tusk ends in a point level with the top of the snout.
Step 4: The neck
Behind the head, draw a neck line sloping down to the back. Draw one from the chin to the chest.
Step 5: The body
From the neck draw a bean body: a long back, a round bottom, and a tummy up to the chest.
Tip A bean, not a loaf: the bottom is rounder than the chest.
Step 6: Two legs
Draw a low ground line. Add a short front leg under the chest and a back leg under the bottom.
Tip Each leg gets thinner down to a little doorstop hoof.
Step 7: The far legs
Draw the 2 far legs peeking out: one just behind the front leg, one in front of the back leg.
Step 8: The tail
From the top corner of the bottom draw a thin tail curving out and down to a leaf tuft.
Step 9: Bristles
Draw 5 short soft bristles along the back, from behind the head to above the back leg.
Step 10: Peach snout and ears
Go over your lines. Colour the snout and the ear insides peach.
Step 11: Brown coat
Colour the head, body, legs and tail light brown around the peach. Leave the eyes and tusks white.
Step 12: Dark bristles, grey hooves
Colour the bristles and the tail tuft dark brown, and the hooves slate grey.
