How to Draw a Hexagonal Pyramid
Draw a hexagonal pyramid in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the front face.
Step 1: The front face
In the middle of your paper draw a tall triangle: a point on top, a flat line along the bottom.
Tip The point sits right above the middle of the flat line.
Step 2: Two side faces
From the top point draw a long line down and out each side. Slant both in to the triangle's corners.
Tip Make both sides match. A hexagonal pyramid has 6 sloping faces, but only 3 show.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Low on the front face draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Tip Leave a small gap between the eyes.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Leave a gap under the eyes, then draw a wide U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Sparkles
Draw 2 sparkle stars on each side of the pyramid, one high and one low.
Step 6: Floor and shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow round the bottom of the pyramid. Add a short floor line out from each end.
Step 7: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the 4 sparkles yellow and the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 8: Light left face
Colour the left side face light blue.
Tip Keep inside the lines of the narrow face.
Step 9: Blue front face
Colour the front face blue, around the eyes, smile and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Dark face, grey shadow
Colour the right side face dark blue and the shadow grey. Your hexagonal pyramid is done!
Tip Light, middle and dark faces make the pyramid look solid.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a hexagonal pyramid, drawn by you.
