How to Draw a Unicornfish
Draw a unicornfish in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: body and horn.
Step 1: Body and horn
From the right, draw a dome back into a horn, then back underneath. Draw a line where the horn joins.
Tip The horn is a pointed cone as long as the head.
Step 2: Eye, cheek and smile
Under the horn draw a big round eye and a cheek below. From the snout draw a short smile back.
Step 3: Pointy tail
Join the body's ends with a line. From the top end draw a point up, scoop in, a point down.
Tip The tail tips are long and thin, like 2 little streamers.
Step 4: Long soft fins
Start on the back above the eye. Draw a long low hill fin and stop near the tail. Same underneath.
Step 5: Gill and side fin
Behind the eye draw a C gill, starting under the back and stopping above the tummy. Add a fan fin.
Tip Grow the fan fin from the gill, with 2 short lines inside.
Step 6: Bubbles
Above the horn draw 3 bubbles floating up: a small one, a bigger one, and the biggest at the top.
Step 7: Sand and seaweed
Draw a wavy sand line from edge to edge. Grow 2 seaweed leaves on the left, 1 on the right.
Step 8: Sandy floor, blue bubbles
Colour the sand sandy right to the paper's edges, and the 3 bubbles light blue.
Step 9: Pink cheek, grey horn
Colour the round cheek pink and the whole horn grey, right up to its base line.
Step 10: Blue-grey body, green seaweed
Colour the body blue-grey around the cheek and horn, leaving the eye white. Colour the seaweed green.
Step 11: Navy tail and fins
Colour the tail and the long top and bottom fins navy. Go over your lines and your unicornfish is done!
