How to Draw a Unicorn with Wings

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a unicorn with wings in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top left, draw a big round head, a little taller than wide. Leave room on the right.

Tip A big head makes it cute: as big as the body is deep.

  2. Step 2: Eyes and snout

Draw 2 big eyes above the middle. Low on the face, add a small snout and a smile.

  3. Step 3: Ears and fringe

Draw 2 leaf ears standing up on the head, with small leaves inside. Add 3 fringe locks between them.

  4. Step 4: The horn

From behind the fringe, draw a tall pointy horn straight up. Add 2 little curves across it.

Tip The horn is half as tall as the head.

  5. Step 5: Neck and mane

From behind the head and the chin, slope 2 neck lines, stopping halfway down the page. Add 4 mane locks.

Tip Tuck each lock behind the one above, from behind the head down to the shoulder.

  6. Step 6: The body

From the neck, draw a big bean body: a long back, a round bottom, a tummy up to the chest.

  7. Step 7: A big wing

Under the mane, sweep a big wing up to a point. Add 4 feather bumps back down to the shoulder.

Tip Add 2 short feather lines at the bumps. The wing covers a little of the back.

  8. Step 8: Two legs

Draw a ground line. From the chest and the bottom, draw 2 legs getting thinner, to hooves on it.

Tip A hoof is a little round doorstop with a line across the top.

  9. Step 9: The far legs

Behind the 2 legs, draw 2 far legs peeking out, hooves on the ground. Only draw what you see.

  10. Step 10: The tail

From the top corner of the bottom, draw a long wavy tail down to a point below the tummy.

Tip The tail grows from the top corner of the bottom, not the back.

  11. Step 11: Snowy white coat

Colour the head, neck, body, legs and ears white like snow. Colour the snout and ear insides peach.

    Tip Leave the eyes white.

  12. Step 12: Gold horn, pink mane

Colour the horn and the 4 hooves yellow like gold. Colour the mane and the fringe pink.

  13. Step 13: Sky wing, purple tail

Colour the wing sky blue around the mane, and the tail purple. Your winged unicorn is done.
