How to Draw a Twelve Pointed Star
Draw a twelve pointed star in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top five points.
Step 1: Top five points
Start on the left. Zigzag 5 points in a rainbow, the middle one straight up. Stop level with the start.
Tip This star has 12 points, like the numbers on a clock. Make every point the same size.
Step 2: Lower seven points
Start at each loose end. Zigzag 3 points down each side, then meet at the bottom tip.
Tip Count the points: 12! The bottom tip sits right under the top tip.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle of the star, draw 2 BIG eggy eyes side by side, with black dots and shines.
Tip Keep both eyes the same size.
Step 4: Big smile
Under the eyes, draw a big wide U smile from eye to eye, with the ends turning up.
Step 5: Rosy cheeks
Beside the ends of the smile, draw a small sideways oval cheek under each eye.
Step 6: Sparkles on the left
In each of the 2 left corners of your paper, draw a small sparkle with 4 points.
Step 7: Sparkles on the right
Draw 2 more small sparkles in the right corners to match.
Step 8: Yellow sparkles
Go over your lines, then colour the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 9: Yellow star
Colour the big star yellow, around the eyes, smile and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Tip Colour into every point, right up to the tip.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheeks rosy pink, and your twelve-pointed star is done!
