How to Draw a Cloud Dragon

Draw a cloud dragon in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.

Step 1: Egg head
Top left, draw the head like a sideways egg, a little flatter on top, snout on the left.
Tip A cloud dragon is a long dragon whose body is made of puffy cloud.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Left of the middle of the head, draw 2 round eyes close together, with black dots and a white shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a U smile with a tiny cheek at each end. Dot a nostril on the snout.
Step 4: Antler horns
On top of the head, draw 2 horns from the head line, each forking into 2 short points.
Step 5: Whiskers and mane
From the snout, draw 2 short whiskers curling down. Behind the head, draw a cloud mane of 4 round bumps.
Step 6: Long body
From behind the mane draw a long S body, fat at the neck and thinner to a round tail end.
Tip Make the neck as fat as the head is tall, and the tail end as thin as a horn.
Step 7: Cloud puffs
Along the top of the body draw big cloud puffs, from the mane to the first bend and around it.
Tip Each puff is a little half circle standing on the body line.
Step 8: More cloud puffs
On top of the last stretch of the body draw a few smaller puffs, stopping at the tail end.
Step 9: Tail puff
Behind the tail end draw a fluffy cloud of 4 round bumps, the top one biggest.
Step 10: Two legs
Under the neck draw 2 short legs that get thinner, each with an oval foot and 2 toe lines.
Step 11: Little clouds
Draw 2 clouds, left and top right: from one end of a flat line, 3 bumps over to the other.
Step 12: Pink cheeks, tan horns
Colour the cheeks pink and the horns tan. Leave the mane, the puffs and the clouds white.
Step 13: Sky blue dragon
Colour the head, body, legs and feet sky blue, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
