How to Draw a Tutu
Draw a tutu in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the neckline.
Step 1: The neckline
Near the top, draw a shallow scoop like a wide smile. Start left of the middle and stop right.
Step 2: The top
From each end of the neckline, draw the top down, curving in at the waist, to a flat edge.
Step 3: The big tutu
From the top's bottom corners, draw the skirt out wide, nearly to the edge. Join the ends with 10 bumps.
Step 4: Folds
From the bottom of the top, draw 5 lines fanning down across the skirt, each stopping where 2 bumps meet.
Step 5: The bow
Low in the middle of the top, draw a bow, a round knot with a fat loop each side.
Step 6: The sash
From each side of the bow, draw a line straight across to the side of the top.
Step 7: Sparkles
Draw 4 small sparkle stars round the tutu, 2 on each side.
Step 8: Yellow sparkles
Go over your lines, then colour the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 9: Pink skirt
Colour the whole skirt pink, bumps and all.
Step 10: Purple top and bow
Colour the top, the bow and the sash purple, and your tutu is ready to twirl!
