How to Draw a Turkey Leg
Draw a turkey leg in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the meat.
Step 1: The meat
Right of the middle, draw a big fat teardrop of meat, with its narrow end pointing up to the left.
Tip Like a fat raindrop lying on its side.
Step 2: The bone
From the narrow end, draw a thick bone up to the left: 2 lines close together, like a short stick.
Step 3: The knuckle
On the end of the bone, draw a knobbly knuckle: 2 fat round bumps with a dip between them.
Step 4: Crispy skin
Draw 5 little curved dashes near the edge of the meat, spread about, for crispy skin.
Step 5: A shine
Inside the top right of the meat, draw a thin curved sliver for a shine, like a tiny banana.
Step 6: A plate
Behind the meat, draw a big oval plate wider than your hand. Add a second oval inside for the rim.
Tip Lift your pencil where the plate would cross the meat.
Step 7: Steam
Above the meat draw 2 wiggly steam lines going up.
Step 8: The table
Draw a long line under the plate, just touching its bottom.
Step 9: Cream bone
Go over your lines, then colour the bone and knuckle cream.
Step 10: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, stopping at the meat.
Step 11: Brown meat
Colour the meat brown, leaving the shine white, and your turkey leg is done!
