How to Draw a Trash Can
Draw a trash can in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the lid.
Step 1: The lid
Above the middle of your paper draw a low hill a hand wide, with a smile curve under it.
Step 2: The can
Start under each end of the lid. Draw a line down and stop near the bottom. Join them below.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the front of the can, above the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 4: The handle
On top of the lid draw a small rainbow with a second rainbow inside it, for a little loop.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Draw a small flat cheek beside each end.
Step 6: Two hoops
A finger under the lid, start on the left side and draw a smile across to the right. Repeat lower.
Step 7: A shadow
Under the can draw a flat oval shadow, a little wider than the can.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line from well left to the shadow, then from the shadow to well right.
Step 9: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Grey can
Colour the can grey between the bands, going around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Slate lid and bands
Colour the lid, the handle, both bands and the shadow slate grey, and your trash can is ready!
