How to Draw a Toolbox
Draw a toolbox in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.
Step 1: The box
Below the middle of your paper draw a wide box with soft corners, almost twice as wide as tall.
Step 2: The lid
On top of the box draw a low lid with sloping sides, a bit wider than the box.
Step 3: A happy face
In the middle of the box draw 2 big round eyes a finger apart. Under them draw a U smile.
Step 4: The handle
On the lid draw 2 short posts, then a long flat bar across their tops.
Step 5: The latch
Where the lid meets the box, in the middle, draw a small square across the join: the latch.
Step 6: Two hinges
Draw a small flat box across the join near each end of the lid: the hinges.
Step 7: Cheeks
Draw a small oval cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line along the bottom of the box from one side of the paper to the other.
Step 9: Peach cheeks
Colour the cheeks peach.
Step 10: Grey handle and latch
Colour the handle, the latch and the hinges grey.
Step 11: Red toolbox
Colour the box and lid red around the eyes, cheeks, latch and hinges. Leave the eyes white.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a toolbox, drawn by you.
