How to Draw a Titanic

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a titanic in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the water.

Print

  1. Step 1: The water

Below the middle, start near the left edge. Draw a long wavy line across to the right edge.

Tip Keep the bumps small and all the same size.

  2. Step 2: Long hull

Start on the left waves. Draw a round back up, a deck across, a bow down. Stop on the waves.

Tip Make the hull very long and low. It nearly fills the page.

  3. Step 3: Long lower deck

Start on the deck line. Draw a long low box up, across and back down to the deck line.

  4. Step 4: Top deck

Start on that roof. Draw a shorter, thinner box up, across and back down to the roof.

Tip Leave the same step at both ends, like a wedding cake.

  5. Step 5: Four tall funnels

Start on the top roof. Draw 4 tall leaning boxes in a row. Stop each back on the roof.

Tip Count them: 4 funnels in a row make it this famous ship.

  6. Step 6: Funnel tops

Near the top of each funnel, draw a line across. Start on one side, stop on the other.

  7. Step 7: Two masts

Start on the deck near each end. Draw a tall leaning line up, stopping higher than the funnels.

Tip The masts lean back just like the funnels.

  8. Step 8: Square windows

Along the long lower deck, draw 7 small square windows in a row.

  9. Step 9: Round portholes

Along the hull, a little under the deck line, draw a row of 8 round portholes.

Tip Space them evenly, like beads on a string.

  10. Step 10: Hull stripe

Just above the waves, draw a long line along the hull, from the round back to the bow.

  11. Step 11: Cream decks, blue windows

Colour the 2 decks cream, around the windows. Colour the windows and the portholes sky blue.

  12. Step 12: Yellow funnels, red stripe

Colour the 4 funnels yellow, below their lines. Colour the stripe along the bottom of the hull red.

  13. Step 13: Blue sea

Colour the sea blue, from the wavy line down to the bottom of the page.

  14. Step 14: Black hull

Colour the hull and the 4 funnel tops black, around the portholes. Your Titanic is ready to sail!

Tip Press hard with the black so the blue portholes shine out.
