How to Draw a Forklift
Draw a forklift in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: low body.
Step 1: Low body
Low in the middle, draw a box wider than tall, with soft top corners.
Tip Leave room above for a roof and in front for the mast.
Step 2: Roof on posts
From the top of the box, draw 2 thin posts up. Add a shallow rainbow roof on top of them.
Step 3: The round face
On the box, draw a big circle nearly as tall as the box: the face.
Step 4: Big eyes and smile
In the circle, draw 2 big round eyes with a dot and shine. Add a smile from eye to eye.
Step 5: Driver's seat
Start on the box by the back post. Draw a tall rounded seat and come back down to the box.
Step 6: The tall mast
From the ground in front, draw a bar past the roof, back down to the ground. Add 2 cross lines.
Step 7: Fork and crate
From the mast near the ground, draw a flat fork forward and back to the mast. Add a crate on it.
Step 8: Chassis and wheels
From the box's bottom-left corner, draw a shallow tray underneath into the mast. Add 2 wheels.
Step 9: The ground
Draw one long ground line under the wheels from edge to edge.
Step 10: Yellow body and roof
Go over your lines. Colour the body, both posts and the roof yellow, going around the face.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, wood crate
Leave the face and eyes white. Add 2 pink cheeks. Colour the crate wood brown.
Step 12: Dark grey parts
Colour the seat, tray, wheels, mast and fork dark grey, leaving the hubs white.
