How to Draw a Tire Swing
Draw a tire swing in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tree trunk.
Step 1: Tree trunk
Start low on the left. Draw a trunk up to a flat top and back down, wider at the bottom.
Tip Leave the right side of the page empty.
Step 2: Long branch
Start near the trunk top. Draw a branch out right, thinner toward its round tip, then back to the trunk.
Step 3: Leafy top
Over the top of the trunk and the start of the branch draw a big leafy cloud of round bumps.
Step 4: The rope
From under the branch, past its middle, draw 2 lines straight down. Stop halfway down the page. Add a knot.
Step 5: The tire
Under the knot draw one big fat circle for the tire, touching the knot. Draw a smaller circle inside.
Tip Leave a gap under the tire so feet can swing.
Step 6: Tread marks
Around the edge of the tire draw 8 short dashes pointing in, spaced evenly all the way round.
Step 7: Ground and grass
Draw a long ground line under the trunk and the tire. Add 3 little grass tufts.
Step 8: Sun and bird
In the top right corner draw a round sun with 8 short rays. Add a little V bird.
Step 9: Yellow sun, tan rope
Colour the sun yellow, and colour the rope and the knot tan.
Step 10: Green leaves, brown tree
Colour the leafy top green. Colour the trunk and the branch brown.
Step 11: Dark grey tire
Go over your lines. Colour the tire dark grey and leave the hole white.
