How to Draw a Tile
Draw a tile in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tile.
Step 1: The tile
In the middle of your paper draw a big square with straight sides and softly rounded corners.
Step 2: The border
Inside it draw a second square, a finger in all the way round.
Step 3: The centre
In the very middle draw a small circle.
Step 4: Top and bottom petals
From the circle draw a teardrop petal pointing up and one pointing down, points near the border.
Step 5: Side petals
Draw 2 more petals, one pointing left and one pointing right. Now the flower has 4 petals.
Step 6: Corner curves
In each corner of the inner square draw a quarter-circle fan, starting on one side and stopping on the other.
Step 7: Four dots
Between each corner fan and the flower draw 1 small round dot, not touching the fan.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 4 small sparkle stars in the corners of your paper, not touching the tile.
Step 9: Cream middle
Go over your lines, then colour the middle of the tile cream, around the flower, dots and fans.
Step 10: Yellow centre and dots
Colour the centre circle, the 4 dots and the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Sky border, teal petals
Colour the border band and the 4 corner fans sky blue, then the 4 petals teal. Your tile is done!
