How to Draw a Melodica
Draw a melodica in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
Below the middle of your paper draw a long rounded box lying on its side.
Tip A melodica is a little keyboard you blow into through a tube.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the top half of the body, in the middle, draw 2 round eyes. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, and a tiny flat oval cheek beside each eye.
Step 4: The key line
Draw a line across the body below the face, from the left edge to the right edge.
Step 5: White keys
Under the key line draw straight lines down to the bottom edge, evenly spaced, for the white keys.
Step 6: Black keys
Between the white keys draw short black keys hanging from the key line, with a gap every 2 or 3.
Step 7: The blow tube
From the body's left end draw a curvy tube up to the top left, ending in a rounded mouthpiece.
Step 8: Vents
On the right of the top half draw 3 short lines for the air vents.
Step 9: Ground and notes
Draw a ground line under the melodica from left to right, and a music note at each side.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, grey tube
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink and the tube and mouthpiece grey.
Step 11: Blue body
Colour the top half blue, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes and keys white.
Step 12: Keys and notes
Colour the black keys and the music notes black. Blow and play!
