How to Draw a Tennis Court
Draw a tennis court in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tennis ball.
Step 1: The tennis ball
On the left of your paper, halfway down, draw a round ball.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the ball draw 2 big round eyes a little apart, each with a black dot and a white shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Start below the left eye. Draw a U smile, stopping below the right eye. Add 2 oval cheeks.
Step 4: Two seams
On each side, start on the top edge. Draw a curve bowing in, stopping on the bottom edge.
Tip Keep the seams close to the sides, away from the face.
Step 5: The court
Draw a big wide rectangle around the ball for the court, with the ball in the left end.
Tip A tennis court is a long rectangle seen from above.
Step 6: Court lines
Draw a line inside the top and bottom edges. Add 2 upright lines between them. Join these across the middle.
Step 7: The net
Across the very middle draw a tall thin rectangle for the net. Add a round post at each end.
Step 8: Net mesh
Inside the net draw 7 short lines across it, evenly spaced from top to bottom.
Step 9: Racket head
In the right end of the court draw a tilted oval for the racket head. Add a second oval just inside.
Step 10: Strings and handle
Inside the frame draw 3 string lines one way and 3 across. Add a handle slanting down to the left.
Step 11: Yellow ball, pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheeks pink. Colour the ball yellow around the face. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red racket, grey posts
Colour the racket frame and handle red, leaving the strings white. Colour the 2 net posts grey.
Step 13: Teal and blue court
Colour the 2 thin strips teal and the middle blue, around the ball and racket. Leave the net white.

Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a tennis court, drawn by you.
